YP2 has been going since 1996.
Richard Holmes and Phil Longfoot set up YP2 as a Liverpool based praise and worship event for the young people of the North West as an addition to the Youth Praise already running in Irby on the Wirral.  Our first attendance in September 1996 was fifty and we have grown to a regular attendance of two hundred plus.
We have had people attend from all over the region including Nantwitch, Chester and Warrington and on the odd occasion Manchester as well as more far flung parts of the world
The band has changed significantly over the years with Richie Holmes leaving in February 2000. We are grateful for all his hard work in helping to make YP2 what it is today.
We have taken the band on the road quite a few times to events such as Covie and YFC events, numerous MCYC meetings and the occasional wedding here and there.
Tim Wright took over as worship leader of the YP2 band in 2001 with Andy Hayes joining him in the role in 2005, the middle of 2008 saw Tim retire from the band with Andy taking over as full time worship leader. 2010 and a new full time worship leader was appointed in the form of Jonny Brennan. 
2010 also saw the retirement of Phil Longfoot on the keyboard. We thanks Phil for his 14 years of service to the group and look forward to his continued contribution and support in the future.
We hope over the years we have helped the young people of the northwest understand the real meaning of praise and worship.
